Camberwell House Renovation
We’re very excited to be underway with this one
From his beginnings in the building industry many years ago as a young apprentice carpenter, Andrew has honed his skills over many challenging projects. From the outset Andrew has not shied away from the challenges architects have laid in front of him, his first assignment the iconic “Lizard House” in Thakeray st, st Kilda. From then on Andrew has never strayed far from the bold, proudly putting his name to many projects in Hawthorn, Malvern, Prahran and Kensington London to name a few. From those who have built with him, Andrew has become well known for his approachable nature ability to listen and willingness to work alongside you as the homeowner. Your project, in Andrew’s hands, is in little doubt of being delivered on budget and to the high standard you should expect.
For almost 20 years Stuart has worked at a variety of architectural practices; from well known local Architects in Toorak and Brighton to some of the largest most prestigious firms while based in the United Kingdom. In this time he has been involved from beginning to completion in the design and development of a multitude of construction projects. Stuart, being thoughtful and meticulous by nature can take your ideas and help develop them from a concept to a finished product brimming with style, elegance and personality.
• Opening the lines of communication between the Designer and Builder for a more streamlined construction schedule, leading to an efficient construction process. • Use of sustainably sourced materials from providers both locally and internationally. • Australian produced products and materials where possible keeping jobs on shore. • Better management of construction waste to reduce our impact on land fill sites. • Direct consultation with clients regarding building fabrics for a more environmentally friendly home with a higher star rating.
The majority of a house’s Green credentials are determined through the concept and design stages, so it is important for a builder to be in tune with the designer to continue to carry on the process through their choices of materials. Having our design and construct teams working together throughout the entire building process means Redmond Construction can produce a home in an eco-friendly and efficient manner without the need for the budget to suffer. The added bonus; we are brothers, communication will always be fluid. Our design concepts factor in so many variables to push the boundaries of sustainability, have you thought about the following concepts in your next project? • Orientation and shading, • Double glazing combined with mass insulation, • Thermal mass, • Embodied energy, • Renewable energy and water management. If you have not, feel free to contact Stuart or Andrew to discuss your future project.

“perfect for sharing with family and friends”
This double brick house in Prahran has been transformed from a typical 1920′s residence to a light filled open platform perfect for entertaining. The owner has respectfully kept in mind the heritage of the street scape whilst designing this modern renovation, the result being a delightful 3 bedroom home now with WIR and en-suite at one end and at the other; a large open kitchen/living area flowing onto a deck perfect for sharing with family and friends. We have worked closely with our client and are excited with the results, I am extremely pleased to be able to put my name to this house as the finished product speaks for itself.

Beautiful beach front property with a priceless view..
A run down property forgotten by it’s previous owners, the transformation began by stripping it out almost to the ground. With no expense spared, the three stories of indulgence started taking shape with Andrew as point man.
A Scope Building Group project with Andrew representing as site foreman and supervisor, the project was built for a private developer. Corian work surfaces, three level private lift, Spotted gum polished floors throughout, pool and self contained studio being just a few of the luxuries this town house featured. When put on the market during a tough trading period (2011-2012) it still managed to triumph and sell for a little over $4.2 million.

A tired old Victorian is given a new start.
Run down and almost unlivable, the developer’s brief was to raise the house aside from the two front bedrooms and create an open and light filled family home.
Adding and open plan kitchen/living space a second story to the rear, two extra bedrooms and three bathrooms turned this on into beautiful 4 bedroom home in a leafy Armadale street.
A project by Scope Building Group with Andrew at the helm, it ran on time and on budget. With constant direct engagement with the client this project gave Andrew an opportunity to show world the high quality work he can produce. Giving particular attention to finishes and finer details the house was then handed over to the toughest judges of all, the public. After a one month campaign on the real estate market the house sold privately for just over $1,500,000.00. After the smooth construction process Scope Building Group was awarded another similar project by the neighbour only two doors down with Andrew at the helm once again.

Million dollar views.
When two other builders said NO, it’s too hard, a call was made to Andrew and Stuart. The Brief: “We have a beautiful view of Port Phillip Bay from these windows.
“Can we have a roof top deck to make the most of it?”
Co-ordinating Town Planning, Drafting, Engineering and Construction the brothers were in their element. A true “Concept to completion” project, the patchwork roof from many a handymen past was stripped back and the structure to be pieced together below. Building upwards to a re-roof and a 21 square metre timber deck laid on joists above. With the potential for complications high, Stuart’s meticulas planning and Andrew’s attention to detail turned this into a worry free assignment delivered on time and on budget.
